About Brooklands Classic Cars

For 40 years we have constantly and exclusively been involved in the classic car business. Originally specializing in the Aston Martin make, we soon encompassed almost every other marque, including Alfa Romeo, Allard, Austin Healey, Bentley, BMW M series, Bristol, Caterham, Chevrolet Corvette, Daimler, De Tomaso, Ferrari, Ford Mustang, ISO, Jaguar, Jensen, Lagonda, Lotus, Maserati, Mercedes Benz, MG, Monteverdi, Nash, Porsche, Rolls Royce, Sunbeam, Triumph, TVR, Volvo 1800 and many more.

For a time we were new car agents for Caterham, Birkin, and Elfin, and Aston Martin factory spare parts distributors.

Our experience includes all facets of importing and exporting to countries all around the globe. Including, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Kuwait, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, United Kingdom, USA and more.

Consequently, we also help with the location or shipment of your classic car, and through our network of trusted agents, can point you in the right direction.

Apart from the selection of cars normally advertised on our website, we have access to many specialists and enthusiasts globally who are either seeking to buy or sell a classic or collectible motor car. If you are looking for a particular make or model, we would welcome the opportunity to assist in your prospective purchase or sale. In addition, we are happy to inspect vehicles or bid on your behalf at an auction if required.

We only advertise our brokerage cars after we have viewed them personally. Of course, in some cases, we may not have had the opportunity to test them, but we encourage clarity in our arrangements, whether you are a purchaser or seller.

As both Corporate and sole valuer members of the  Australian Valuers and Auctioneers Association of Australia [ AVAA], we can provide an up-to-date and concise valuation of most classic and collectible vehicles. We carry out valuations for market purposes, insurance, importation value, matrimonial disputes or practically any other reason for which a valuation may be sought.

We encourage existing and new clients to simply call or email us for advice, and if we can assist we will.

The DEvaux Coupe and Spyder

The Devaux Coupe and Spyder are hand built modern homages to the beautiful European sports cars of the late 1930s. They are a romantic interpretation of cars such as Bugatti, Delahaye, Delage and Talbot-Lago.

The Devaux Coupe & Spyder

These cars are hand built and truly bespoke to the owners personal specification, underpinning long term residual values

Designed by local Industrial Designer David J Clash based here in Melbourne Victoria, the initial sketches of the car were drawn in 1988. Several years went into the design and sculpting of the bodywork, and a Jaguar-powered 3.4L Special was built with help from his father.

In the early 2000s, the car was re-engineered with a new chassis frame, running gear, and minor changes to the bodywork. The first production prototype used a Ford straight-six 4L engine, whereas subsequent cars have the GM LS1 5.7 V8 both in automatic and manual variants.

Indeed, the Devaux (named after his mother’s French connection) captures the essence of some of the world’s finest 1930s cars. Those who know their automotive history readily identify these elements, a beautiful era when cars were designed by artists and built by craftsmen.
