The Warwickshire Event Centre will be hosting the final Classic Car Auctions sale of the year on the 7th December with a variety of fantastic cars with extraordinary history and in fabulous conditions.
One of those splendid cars on offer is the 1947 Riley RMA Woody Estate car pictured above. This beautiful looking car has been owned by the same family from new and is one of only two bodies of this type made. Presented in a creamy grey colour with an Oak/Ash frame and panel body, it has a split tailgate with the lower half being timber and the upper half glazed. It is described as being in largely original condition having been stored in the same garage from new. Estimated at £15,000 to £18,000 this Woody has been recommissioned, serviced and now running. What a wonderful opportunity this is to own such a rare and wonderfully crafted Woody.
Recently CCA has had a few of our next lot, the 1972 Rover 3.5 Coupe P5B and they have all been in remarkable condition and this one doesn’t disappoint. Looking through the pictures the interior really does stand out, it is incredible and the original Buckskin hide has been very well preserved. Finished in Admiralty Blue it does look very smart, with the Silver Birch fine line down the waist and just 53,748 miles on the clock. This fine Rover comes with a detailed service history, its original stamped Rover Passport to Service and the toolkit. Estimated at £20,000 to £25,000 this is a very well preserved and sumptuous car.

Our next lot is a real Italian Stallion the 1997 Maserati Ghibli Cup with a 330bhp V6 twin-turbo engine under the bonnet. Estimated at £15,000 to £20,000 this car is just one of 26 produced in right-hand drive form making it a very rare car. It comes with a very comprehensive service history, the original leather book-pack and other interesting documentation. This is one of the old-school Maseratis and one that rivals the BMW M3.
Talking of BMW M3s, our final lot in this release is a 1996 E36 M3 Evolution. Born one year prior to the Ghibli this Bavarian powerhouse has been in storage since 2007 hence the low mileage of 45,000 miles. Estimated at £18,000 to £22,000 it comes with the original book-packs BMW stamped service history. This M3 came out of storage in 2018 when it was recommissioned including an Inspection 2 service. Now with fresh fluids, a new clutch and a full underbody Waxoyl, this is a rare low mileage sportscar to satisfy any enthusiast.
Gary Dunne Classic Car Auctions Manager commented: “These are a great spread of cars on offer at our December sale. The Woody is a fantastic looking car with the unusual timber crafted rear, similar in style to the Morris Minor Woody, very rare indeed.”
“These Rovers are now starting to appear out of the woodwork and each one we have seen and sold has been in incredible condition and I have no doubt they will do well, we have both a coupe and a saloon in this sale.”
“We offer many high-performance cars and the Ghibli is a great looking car from the late 1990s. The Interior appears well looked after and if you aren’t a BMW fan then an Italian masterpiece could be for you.”
Classic Car Auctions are still taking entries for their sale on the 7th December at the Warwickshire Event Centre.
