Classic Fixers was originally set up to provide workshop services to our sister company Great Driving Days, which runs a fleet of 20+ high mileage classic hire cars. Great Driving Days was tired of being let down by some so-called ‘specialists’ so we decided to build and launch our own workshop to better meet Great Driving Days needs but also those of serious owners, and collectors..
Running a classic hire fleet gives us a unique perspective on owning older and collectible cars. You need reliable vehicles, honest turnaround times & a pragmatic approach to costs. We still maintain that hire fleet. But we realised other classic car owners wanted the same thing – honest advice, reliable service and transparent pricing. And that’s what we decided to do.

When this red XJS came in for a service check over it looked shiny and solid. Unfortunately that was before we got it onto the ramp. The owner had recently bought it with a view to drive and collect, the previous owner confirmed that it had received significate recent expenditure including a partial respray! Some of that turned out to be true. But not a lot..

Reliable, honest classic car repairs. And, Classic Fixers maintain the UK’s largest Classic Car rental fleet!

The idea is pretty simple. We open our doors to any classic car owner or enthusiast from 10am to 12pm on one Sunday each month. We have hot drinks and a snack wagon on site and make a donation to Acorns Hospice for each event. Typical turnout on a Classics & Coffee event is over 300 cars, including a huge variety of cars that you don’t normally see out on the road.

It’s all about the cars & people
Classics & Coffee is all about the mix of cars – from vintage to classic to modern modified and supercars. It’s informal and relaxed and all for a good cause. It’s also a chance to see what we do at Great Escape Cars – our classic car workshop is available to look around and discuss your latest project.
You can see photos from previous events visit our Facebook page at Great Escape Classic Car Hire.
Our unit is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac that provides safe parking for cars and a safe environment for wandering around them. We have several of our classic hire fleet on display. And if you own a classic you’ll have the chance to talk to our workshop team. Our Classics & Coffee events are informal and open to all. We want to share our passion for classic cars and help an important local charity.
