Our company was founded by Rod Mitchell, who was previously Managing Director of one of the UK’s pioneering classic car brokers – John Scott and Partners. Prior to this he was the UK CEO of the Automotive and Private Client division at AEON – the world’s largest insurance broker.
From this experience we have created an exclusive insurance arrangement for people in the classic car business. The Private Client team, headed up by Carole Pearson, have many years of experience providing insurance cover for collections both small and large. They look after a number of individual cars worth in excess of £20m, and collections over £100m. For cars worth over £1m, vehicle cover is available on a worldwide, All Risks basis that includes overseas transit cover. This not only saves significant sums of money for those clients who move cars around the world, but it is also a valuable administrative time saver.
Another advantage of our experience and industry reputation is our ability to agree car values for clients, up to the highest of values, without the need for, or the expense of, an independent valuation. We are also able to include everyday cars in the collection. Our view is that if clients are driving their everyday cars they can’t be driving their collection cars, and vice versa. Bringing everything into one policy usually results in significant premium savings.

Legal Expenses
For our trade clients we provide a Commerical Legal Expenses policy covering a whole range of issues including Contract Disputes with customers.
For our Private Clients we make provisions for the services of a specialist legal team to recover a client’s uninsured losses, such as their excess, in the event of a non-fault claim. If the damaged car is a prestige vehicle they will supply a similar replacement vehicle.
Transit
We have facilities to provide Transit insurance cover by Air, Sea or Land throughout the world for full ‘All Risks’. These rates are usually much lower than shipper rates and produce cost savings for out clients.
Values
As a general rule, insurers require cars to be valued by an auction house or independent specialist dealer before they will give Agreed Values. This is often an expensive and time-consuming process, especially when values increase frequently.
Our knowledge and industry reputation, however, is such that we are authorised by the insurers to agree values on their behalf. This free service is available to all clients.
