RBW Classic Electric Cars

Specialising in converting Classic & Collectible cars into Electric cars

Our Heritage is important to us..

The RBW MG Roadster was conceived and developed by Peter Swain, who has brought together his knowledge of previous electrical and electronic businesses and married them to his passion for classic sports cars.

As the MD of restoration company RBW Classic & Sports Cars, Peter could see that these vehicles faced an uncertain future in the modern world. He saw the potential for an electric car that had all the benefits of a modern vehicle but with the aesthetic appeal of a beautiful classic car. And so RBW Electric Classic Cars evolved.

Not one for doing things by half measure, Peter pulled together the industry experts and the biggest names in the automotive world to make his vision become a reality. Working closely with Continental and its subsidiary Continental Engineering Services (CES), RBW has designed a classic sports car of the future.

A piece of British history

As a motoring enthusiast, Peter has an affection for British sports cars having owned many MGs, Triumphs and Jaguars himself over the years. So, when looking at designs for the first RBW car, it was natural that the British sports car came to mind. Taking inspiration from the traditional roadster, the RBW recreation has improved the classic accents and added some subtle highlights to create a stunning exterior for this modern electric car.

RBW is a family business – RBW is the initials of Peter’s children Rose, Becky and Wes – based in the heart of Staffordshire, England.

RBW Electric Classic Cars is convinced that electromobility in its many different forms will be an essential component of future mobility.

Around the world, specialists are working on further developing existing concepts and on new developments for climate-friendly electric vehicles. In order to shape safe, efficient, connected and comfortable mobility, RBW Electric Classic Cars is pooling expertise from all divisions of technology providers Continental in the fields of integration, energy optimization and drivetrain management to create the optimum classic car for the future.
