Simon Ward: Leading Motorsport artist, Simon is official Artist in Residence to the SVA..

Simon Ward is official artist in residence to the Specialist Vehicle Associates

The Art of Simon Ward host two passions combined, art and motor racing. My first Grand Prix was in 1972 at Brands Hatch, aged just eight years old although I had been to many races at Mallory Park before that. Art was something I was born with and quickly became a natural gift for car’s, drawing them as soon as I could hold a pencil.

Simon’s professional career..

I began as a professional artist in 1986, going to F2 and Touring car’s, the Group C era in prototypes and the annual visit to the British GP. I met many of the drivers in that period who would progress to Formula One. From there, the art began to become more recognized with exhibitions and traveling further afield, Spa, Monza, Le Mans, Daytona and Sebring. My work still hangs in the Sebring Airport Lobby to welcome Motorsport enthusiasts since 2000.

I am presently spending a great deal of time in the USA attending several key events, while based in New York. There is now great recognition of the Art here in the US, together with Circuit by InRoads Inc our Partners include New York City Concours, Club Concours, Taste the Race Events and we have our own Car’s & Coffee with Casa Hudson, NY and Wide World Ferrari.

My return to Europe will follow an interest in returning to my European roots for a period to attend some of the important Motorsport events in the UK and Europe..
